Reaktie Safety Shops had used the build in website module from their ERP software tool for a long time. They now needed more flexibility and chose a custom build e-commerce shop that gave their customers more freedom and made their business processes run more efficient.

Synchronisation with existing software

Reaktie Safety Shops runs their full business on a so called ERP software tool. This tool contains all their information regarding products and stock and their sales and accountancy. Therefore it was our task to build an seamless integration with their existing software that pulled out this information to fill the shop, and push back information about sales.

To do so, we had to build a new application in C# that connects to the existing ERP tool. This was a complete new challenge for DotInk, and we're very proud on the production ready result. This tool acts as a bridge between the online shop in the cloud, and their local business administration in the office.

Reaktie Safety Shops supplies almost all personal and industrial safety equipment, tools, measuring equipment, fire extinguishers and breathing air systems.

The employees of Reaktie Exceptional Services are available 24 hours a day for calamities, oil contamination and transport damage. They are particularly specialized in solving problems with hazardous substances in the transport and storage phase.

Mobile friendly, super fast, front end first

We chose to build the new Reaktie Safety Shop with the at this moment most modern technologies. To make sure that the project would be well manageble and future proof, we chose to use Next JS as our front-end framework.

Next.js is a framework based on JavaScript for building React web applications and superfast static websites. It helps us build a hybrid application containing both server-rendered and statically generated pages.

Another advantage is that it helps us create a mobile first user experience. As Next is a headless framework, it's not depending on the speed of our servers. All the data is communicated over a simple and quick API connection, and processed on the user side.

The back-end is based upon Laravel, although it's extended with our custom build e-commerce framework that we started to develop when building the DanielDeer.nl webshop.

DotInk E-com Framework

We invested a lot of time in building our own E-com Framework. This Framework is build upon the developer friendly Laravel system, and contains a set of tools that are regularly used in every modern e-commerce webshop.

Our developers know their way around in the Framework, giving us the advantage of deploying new shops at blazing fast speeds. Our customers get automated updates that are deployed to all our shops and they enjoin the benefits of our shared manager system that contains a lot of pre-defined features.

The Framework is designed from a point of view that it will get extended on each shop. Therefore it's easily customizable for every client and we build custom made extensions with ease. We can also re-use existing extensions to new clients.
